My Folksy Shop is Open for Business!

Roll up roll up, gather around!

The grand opening of my virtual shop is here.  I've chosen to sell from the british art and craft website Folksy - it's so simple to use for both customer and trader and you can purchase my prints through the safety and security of this popular site.

I've got 4 of my favourite prints on the site so far, but hope to have more soon, so please keep checking the blog and seeing what I'm up to!

The seaside is still there..

When it's the winter I often forget that the beach and sea is still there, quietly waiting for the spring to arrive so that it can welcome sunbathers, swimmers and happy holiday-makers!

I sure can't wait for spring to arrive!  So when my wife and I popped down to Bournemouth today to see my brother-in-law, I took this photo and it gave me a glimpse of the summer ahead.

You'd never guess that it was below 10 degrees and I had my thermal vest on!  Brrrrr... It's certainly fresh that sea air and it will be a while before I'm taking my shoes and socks off for a paddle!

Now it's back to the country and back to work.

The photo below was taken on my iPhone!

My prints have arrived!

After a very chilly start this morning I poured myself some orange and pineapple juice because it makes me feel all tropical - even when the weather outside is clearly NOT tropical!

It's been a dull day but this afternoon I was very excited to see my new Limited Edition prints arrive.  It's great seeing my work printed up and framed.  I popped the London montage in a frame and it looks great - I can't wait to be able to get them online to sell to all you lovely people!  A great momentum for 2012 and the Olympics!

Have a lovely weekend everyone and remember - Spring is just around the corner!

All the greatness of London in one picture!

This is what I did today - a London montage.

London is such a great city, don't you think?  I also love Sydney and New York.  Have you seen my Sydney image?  All will be available to buy in my online shop soon.

What's your favourite city?

Balboa Bunch

My wife and I are going to a Balboa Workshop tonight with Micky and Kelly.  You might not know this, but at 61 years young, I like to do a bit of Dad-dancing (as my daughter affectionately calls it). Dancing is good for my fitness too which means I can eat more of the bad foods I'm not allowed (like cakes and stuff).

I think it might actually be doing some good because I recently went to the Doctors for my over 60's health MOT and I got another full MOT for the next 12 months.

For the Workshop this evening I created some dance postcards and prints - my daughter spent the evening guillotining them for me and sticking my stickers on the back.  She did a good job, don't you think?

I'm going to be opening my Folksy and ETSY shop soon so you can buy my prints all for yourself!  (Again, my daughter is working all this out for me because I have no idea how all this works.)

Right, I'm off to practice some of my moves for the dancefloor!

Cup of tea?

This is my first post.  Look at me being all Bloggy and stuff. I hope I manage to put some interesting stuff here.

While I put together the nuts and bolts of my blog - where I'll show you and tell you about all the weird and wonderful things that happen in my studio on a daily basis (Like the cat visiting from next door, and the post man coming... honestly it's so exciting living in the country) i'll leave you with one of my latest pieces of work below which was a commission from a Balboa dancer friend of mine.
